The Beast Is Out Of The Cage

I had an ablation in 2021 which gave me back my quality of life but this last six weeks I am having episodes every 2-3 days. I am seeing my EP on Wednesday with the view to another ablation. What’s strange this time is that just before I kick off I go into Bradycardia at 41bpm. Anyone else had that? Thanks in advance lovelies.

A low HR can make it easier for ectopics and AF to trigger. Once I lay down in bed my HR often goes right the 40’s and I’ll get some PVCs.

I had an ablation in 2019 and once everything calmed down I got 18 months feeling more normal. Then the AF started again and now I get periods of 2 to 3 weeks when I have AF every other day and then it calms down to once an month and then I have another difficult 2 to 3 weeks. I have been on the waiting list to be seen since March 2022 and still no appointment in sight. My HR is normally in the low 40s too.

Thanks for replying Kendalghost. So sorry to hear about your circumstances. I am seeing my EP tomorrow and fingers crossed this can be sorted by another ablation. Good luck to you ❤️

I have noticed that when I am asleep I get more PACs when my heartrate is in the mid 40s, ie when I am well rested, compared to when I have been exerting myself during the day so I am more tired and my HR higher. Paradoxical really.

Exactly the same way, my HR was 43 this morning then went into afib. Just the nature of the beast.

that is so reassuring. I was thinking all sorts including sick sinus and pacemakers! Thank you.
