I'm sad to see so many people suffering from chronic health conditions on these forums but amazed at how well people seem to be coping at the moment. I’ve been suffering paroxysmal atrial fibrillation ( recorded using FibriCheck) every time I get migraine (amitriptyline ev night as prevention)last few months and I was just wondering if anyone else has any experience of this?
I’m waiting to see a cardio consultant in April but it feels a long wait, my gp is suggesting I wait for my cardio appt., and Ive spent most days this last few weeks feeling I'm going to faint, slight chest pain. . I’m trying to go for short walks, keep myself occupied if I feel well enough to keep anxiety/ depression under control but if I do too much I get breathless and then end up with migraine and AF. This prob sounds trivial compared to the things others are going through so sorry if it sounds like I’m just whingeing! but help

For a number of reasons I would book a private appointment with a cardiologist (around £300), I expect you will be given an appointment later this month. Expensive I know but probably the best use of your money!
Make list of Q's, take them into the consultation, don't be rushed and make sure you write down all the answers. Keep the cardiologist on side by apologising 'but my memory isn't that good'.
I never could pinpoint it all exactly, but there always seemed to be a connection between the migraines, odd heartbeats and my blood sugar tanking. I have hypoglycemia, a lot is mentioned about diabetes but almost nothing for low blood sugar.
I got the book Wheat Belly on audio and my husband and I listened to it while we had dinner. After listening to how Gluten is so disruptive, we decided to look at everything we were eating and were shocked at how much wheat is in a lot of our food. Between wheat gluten and sugar, it was amazing.
After a few weeks of getting the gluten out of my diet, I noticed I wasn’t having migraines. It has been years now and I haven’t had a migraine. I haven’t had the blood sugar swings either which I am sure is better for my heart.
I do have Proximal Afib, I recently went on a BP medication and it’s been a month since I have had any Afib. I am sure there is a connection to everything we do and eat, I say one has to be a health detective to figure it out.
This group has been instrumental in helping with my journey to a better understanding of this situation.
I want to thank everyone for being patient with everyone and being helpful.
