Problems with alerts.

Good Morning Everyone.

These days when I get alerts I click on them as normal but then I am just taken to the initial post and have to scroll down to find the particular comment which has answered my comment. Don't mind this just takes more time depending on how many comments there are - so sometimes as I scroll down I forget the name of the person who has made the comment in reply to mine so have to start over again - that's just to do with my brain and age. Just wondering if others have this happen or if it is just me?

Enjoy your day.

Oh well mine has been switched on the last few days then :)

That process you have described happens to me .... on & off.

Seems to happen every time for me, not good if it's in a long post.

Exactly Jean I have nearly given up a few times - then looked out at the rain and thought well what else have I got to do other than clean the loo!

Happens very time for me. But the keyboard issue that existed only on HU of randomly typing words, letters etc seems to have resolved!

It resolved for me when I got a message saying I could not use the predictive text. I turned it off and problem solved for with the repeating letters and words on HU, but it was a nuisance for typing on other sites. Now there has been another change here . An orange box appears round where you type. I have been able to turn the predictive text back on without any problem. This is all beyond me as I am a technophobe and have no idea what is going on.

I don't have any orange box 🤔 It's all a mystery to me too!

Hi D.

There is an answer to the problem (I think!).

I know what you mean about clicking alerts and having to scroll down. Go to settings and notifications on HU. Click the yes box to be emailed when someone replies to one of your comments. You will receive emails telling you someone has replied to you with a link to their comment. Click on the link and bingo it takes you directly to the reply. No more scrolling or missed replies 😉

Happens to me too. Thought it was something I had done wrong, it usually is.

Mine are sometimes quite slow to find my reply but if I wait , it eventually moves down to it. Just give it a few seconds before you start looking.
