wishing you the best of luck for a new you. The fact you converted with cardioversion is great as shows you are capable of NSR. Is there a reason they are not doing a catheter ablation before moving to pace and ablate?
May be none of my business, but perhaps a discussion with your health professionals regarding other options for controlling your afib and improving your quality of life might be in order before pace and ablate procedure. Not to say this is not a legitimate treatment option, but perhaps there are other treatments that would be worth considering. My two cents only
Hi had my pacemaker fitted last December and taken off my 300mg daily dose of flecainide I'm better now off the tablets than I have been for many years.ablation was supposed to follow the pacemaker but I don't need it now pacemaker seams to have fixed my af which I have had for approx 35 years good luck.
Hi don't know the name of it but it has 2 leads .I also have a monitor by side of bed looks like a telephone that picks up any problems during the night it goes back to the hospital also hospital check ups are done on this as and when they want to .I have to do nothing next check up is in January they will just do it themselves it's great.the monitor is made by medtronic hope this helps.
I have a single lead pacemaker, inserted in an emergency, as I was having long pauses causing loss of consciousness. I am now in permanent AF not symptomatic. I send an upload to the hospital, once a year, from a device that I hold over the pacemaker.
But am interested in available devices.
Delighted for you that the pacemaker has sorted your AF.
