I believe that some years ago somebody (BobD) mentioned that sugar alcohol could be AFIB trigger???
I had muffins (with sugar alcohol as substitute) the last 3 mornings and almost immediately I was incapable of moving and breathing.

I don't know what sugar alcohol is.
i found that managing my diet to reduce fructose helped reduce episodes of PAF. (Also many other health improvements) And then noticed that sorbitol was also a problem so changed my toothpaste and another improvement. Not an immediate trigger so much as improving overall health and thereby reducing episodes.
The name is sorbitol that gives me troubles
I have learned to avoid any sweeteners that end in -ol. It has worked wonders for my digestive issues. And in turn my heart.
I believe that foods can be a trigger - but that the trigger foods are highly personal. Like allergies and intolerances they can vary and what is a trigger for one person may have no impact on another.
For me (larger amounts of) red meat and alcohol seemed to be the only triggers - I never found anything else.
If you're looking for triggers I'd recommend sticking to food made yourself from minimally processed raw ingredients. Triggers can be hard to find in processed foods - I've heard of someone whose severe lactose intolerance was triggered by toothpaste - which in some countries apparently contains milk powder!
My immediate reaction is to query why you even tried it if BobD advised against it. I obey his diktats to the letter and always have done. The very fact that he registered this opinion “many years ago” is proof that he knows a great deal about heart matters since he’s still here. It’s all those years of tinkering with engines that gives him the capacity and understanding of how our engines work. 🤣
