NSR with SVEs

I have eventually had my Zio monitor in July, GP requested it in Feb! Got the results and GP had letter from Cardiology at Southmead Hospital the other week after chasing it through my heplful secretarys at GP. The main consultant said no AF but SVT up to 160 bpm for a short few seconds that I hadnt noticed, my Kardia says NSR with SVE when I check it.

Can anyone tell me if this is the same. Cardiology dont want to see me and recommend Rivaroxoban.

Thanks, Jackie

Mine didn't show any AF over the two weeks, only short bursts of "AF like activity", whatever that is. Since then, I have had several infrequent AF episodes, but more often get a mild racing heart and runs of ectopic beats.

Rivaroxaban is what I take. It's needed as there's an increased risk of stroke if the heart isn't beating smoothly ("NSR"). My GP also gives me bisoprolol to take when my heart races and it works quite well. So far, 1.25mg has been all I've needed to calm things down and this takes about an hour to work.

I can't really advise you on your results Jackie, but if you are only getting minor episodes of an irregular beat lasting seconds, well I would be very pleased. Don't forget even normal people without heart rate problems often get a few extra or missed beats at times.

How are you feeling?

Hi Jean, I am feeling fine but get a bit breathless on doing stairs. Need to lose some weight. I was happy the monitor didnt show AF as I had many episodes in May in the heat, that was after 4th C19 vax so doc wants to get me settled before next one. Got a new GP at surgery who is playing catch up and I had chest xray and have full bloods booked for next week. He has phoned me three times for consult and each time call had been 30mins 😊 a real change from a year ago, I just hope he stays there.

Take care and keep warm xxx
