Thanks Bob, we felt this year's event should remain 'online' only, this is to ensure the safety of all our guests \ staff and Health Care Professionals. However, due to feedback collated over the the past couple of years, we remain optimistic in providing both 'in person' and 'online' Patients Day events simultaneously !
If you have never been in person you haven't lived but I do understand the reluctance. There is nothing like face to face networking even if the queues for lunch are can be irritating. Staggering the various sessions helped mitigate that problem.
Hi Tracy - Exciting! But that link takes me to a login page that says "If you have already registered for this event log in here". How do I register for the event?
Hi Tracey - thank you for getting back to me and apologies I hadn't responded. I did look at the link and the Patients Day looks really interesting but unfortunately the cost is beyond my means at the moment. Hopefully that will change but really kind of you to check in with me!
Hi Helen, thank you for bringing this to our attention, I can confirm that the link has now been updated and you should be able to register via the link on the PD landing page. Please do not hesitate to contact me direct if you should experience any further problems. Kind regards, Tracy
Looks great and thanks for sharing. Has there been a section in the past for those of us in persistent afib looking at the treatment paths? Is this likely to be repeated?
You are more than welcome! once again, upon registration, as of 14 October 2022, you will have an unlimited 12 months access to all the presentations from Arrhythmia Alliance, AF Association and STARS and all from your own home! There are many AF presentations this year taking place .... from managing symptoms, medications and treatment options. View the full agenda by following the link heartrhythmcongress.org/pro...
Thanks Tracy, I had a look at the Agenda on your original link which is why I asked the question.
It looks absolutely superb if you are in paroxysmal afib, however for persistent where treatment can need to be more aggressive than catheter ablations and natural approaches in the agenda I couldn’t see anything.
Having a section on options for treating persistent would be great eg hybrid approaches and mini maze surgery. Having a surgeon and EP who work together presenting in that section would perhaps work well. I can make an intro if that is something needed and new to AA and AFA.
It’s the same with the brilliant guides you have on catheter ablation for example, knowing what to expect really helps. It would be good to include one on hybrids (which can cover mini maze) as well.
