we moved here ( a couple of miles from Lincoln cathedral) from East London 6 months ago. I have sick sinus brady/tachy23 years, been previously looked after by prof Schilling and team at Barts, so was concerned how the transfer would work. I am on my 3rd pacemaker which is monitored by ep's at Barts through a bedside detector.

I had my first appointment on Monday with a consultant Nurse cardiologist. Who is referri g me over to the E p's. As My 3rd lead implant did not go well. Kept touching phrenic nerve and had to be switched off. But I am fairly stable now and af episodes less frequent. So dont want any more ablations.

Anyway, the consultant was very surprised that in all the years I have not been tested for sleep apnoea. I had read several times recently that there may be a link. ( Iknow my oxy levels often go below 90 at night)So tests ordered.

My husband has sleep apnea and wears a cpap mask at night so if i have it will look like something from Doctor who in our room at night.

Thing the Oudh.

he did say that they dont do Ablations at Lincoln so would hVe to go to Leicester or Nottingham for some procedures but can go to Barts if I want.

I was content with the service-so far Has anyone here experience of cardiology at Lincoln, Nottingham or Leicester.

I would stay with the team I knew if I was happy with them assuming travel on occasion to London isn't an issue for you. I have heard good things about Leicester and was offered there or London when an ablation was on the cards.

Instead I choose a particular EP in London but Leiecester was a good second on my list. Dont know anything about Nottingham. Enjoy your new life in Lincoln.

I was under Leicester, only not now as they don’t offer the procedure I require. Their a large well regarded team. Glenfield is the right side of the city to if coming from Lincoln.

My sleep apnoea was tested mild, no treatment offered but have been using a nasal strip and lip strip for several years now, which works well. Incidentally, passed through Lincoln on the way back from holiday, loved the cathedral and the Cathedral Quarter shops etc. I am sure you've been already.
