we moved here ( a couple of miles from Lincoln cathedral) from East London 6 months ago. I have sick sinus brady/tachy23 years, been previously looked after by prof Schilling and team at Barts, so was concerned how the transfer would work. I am on my 3rd pacemaker which is monitored by ep's at Barts through a bedside detector.
I had my first appointment on Monday with a consultant Nurse cardiologist. Who is referri g me over to the E p's. As My 3rd lead implant did not go well. Kept touching phrenic nerve and had to be switched off. But I am fairly stable now and af episodes less frequent. So dont want any more ablations.
Anyway, the consultant was very surprised that in all the years I have not been tested for sleep apnoea. I had read several times recently that there may be a link. ( Iknow my oxy levels often go below 90 at night)So tests ordered.
My husband has sleep apnea and wears a cpap mask at night so if i have it will look like something from Doctor who in our room at night.
Thing the Oudh.
he did say that they dont do Ablations at Lincoln so would hVe to go to Leicester or Nottingham for some procedures but can go to Barts if I want.
I was content with the service-so far Has anyone here experience of cardiology at Lincoln, Nottingham or Leicester.
