I have cardimyopathy with low ejection fraction percentage. Is this procedure something they would use for my issues?
Who needs ablations?: I have... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Who needs ablations?
I don’t think that there could be a straightforward answer. You would have to see a specialist EP who would asses you but I rather think it would depend upon the extent of the existing dysfunction and the cause.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up but there may be other procedures which would help.
What is your EF and is your AF persistent & if so for how long? (chances of success would decrease the longer you have been in AF).
No at this juncture no AFIB ..just lower EF (44)
Sorry I have just reread your post - my answer assumed (probably incorrectly making an Ass out of me) that you are in persistent AF and you hadn’t said that so based purely on what you said - NO catheter ablation is not a treatment for Cardiomyopathy, only for arrythmias.
