I don’t see why not? My Uncle had an electric recliner chair and a pacemaker and had good use of both for 20+ years. I think it’s magnetic type mechanisms you have to watch for so you shouldn’t come within a certain number of feet of an induction job so I hear.

I am sure someone will come along with more detailed info later.

I think some models fitted with, for example, a wireless lithium-ion battery pack may interfere with a pacemaker. Models that simply Plug-in to house electric circuit are ok . I just bought a cordless lawnmower operated via a battery pack and the instructions state it will interfere with pacemakers.

I have an electric bed and no problems. I had to change my induction hob when I had my pacemaker as was told had to keep 2ft away if used it.

I think there is a lot of myths around pacemaker sensitivity to magnetic and electric fields. I've had mine for 8 years now. We have always used induction hobs at home and I've been through so many airport metal detectors that I would no longer be around to talk about it if there was a reaction to them. I think if you have a modern pacemaker you are safe from most interference other than MRI machines where the PM is turned off before the examination. Of course, there is no harm in being careful - you should find out the make and model of your PM and check on the manufacturers website to see what they recommend.

Did you get info from the manufacturer? Mine is made by Boston Scientific of St Paul Minnesota. With mine you can. With the info you could check out the specs for yours. I got a box of stuff and a device to send info to the Doctor's office.

I have a battery-powered hedge-trimmer and a pacemaker: you've just alarmed me. I'll look into this.
