My watch WITHINGS (made in France) has similar AFib and ECG functionality. It's very easy to use.

Which Fitbit do you have? Presumably this doesn't work on them all??

If you open the link and scroll through a couple of pages there is a list of compatible ones. x

Thanks, I have a Charge HR 2, so just a generation too old, but then I have permanent AF so of marginal benefit perhaps. Gary

Me too and hope it lasts a long time. Think it is their best model. x

Agreed. Mrs Omniscient has a larger, newer Fitbit, but I like the size of the one I have. Keep having to replace the straps though tsk!!

Omniscient1's link says the irregular rhythm notifications are only available in US.

Yes, I rechecked this, ECG app available almost everywhere ,but the irregular beat notifications in the US only. My confusion :-(

Thanks for pointing this out. I had no idea this was available. I'm attempting to update my Fitbit as I'm typing this. My Fitbit usually takes a few attempts to establish a connection, but it appears to be doing something.

I spoke too soon. I have a Versa and the feature isn't available for this model. At least I got a firmware update.

Does the battery in yours now last for a shorter period of time? Before the update my Versa would go for 4 to 5 days before needing a charge. It now goes for 2 days if I'm lucky.

I've only just updated it so will let you know

I'm not sure I need/want another notification of an irregular heartbeat-I can feel them, and that makes me too anxious already, so I don't really want to see a visual notification of what I already know. Anxiety is NOT good!

Fair enough. I am undiagnosed at the moment so trying to find all the answers and patterns i can

You should tell your doctor about it. Possibly see a cardiologist. It doesn't gets better, over time it usually gets worse. Over 5 years mine went from occasional to nearly constant. I just had an ablation, an operation to get rid of it.
