Dealing with omicron

Hello Everybody

Are there any links on here, where I can get some information/advice?

I am in permanent AF and I tested positive on Friday. Had 3 jabs. I actually feel a lot better today...fatigue has nearly gone, although still got a sore throat. I am hardly coughing, (certainly nowhere near continuous), but when I do its very chesty but not shifting, and catches my breath.

119 are pretty useless and just read off a card....

Not sure if 111 is any better from my experiences of them in the past.

You can tell me to seek advice from a health professional, but I feel I need to try and just manage this as best I can.

Thanks

If you have a blood ox machine check your stats do not go below 92% seems to be the advice. Most people triple jabbed have no major problems and recver well in about three to four days. Stay well hydrated of course and paracetamol for any aches and pains. (NO 2 son's girlfriend is a practise nurse who looked after my two lads when they had it over New Year.)

Try NAC for the cough - n acetyl cysteine. It fluidifies phlegm and makes it much easier to cough up. It is also recommended as a treatment for covid in the protocols of doctors who actually treat it rather that say just take Paracetamol and cross your fingers.

Thank you for your reply...I haven't heard of this as a brand...can you get it in the UK? Am i right in thinking you live in France?? (distant memory!)

No it is a supplement and there are several brands. I get mine via ebay uk from a company called Hellenia. It's cheaper than buying it in the pharmacy here where I first discovered it - recommended by the chemist when I had a bad cough. It does have some blood thinning properties but I have taken it as an immune system supplement since 2016 - never had a respiratory infection since.
