Yes, I once had a time when I struggled to keep conscious, felt sick and sweaty. Yet my pulse in my arm was normal at 62.
When paramedics arrived they discovered that what was registering in my arm was not actually what my heart was doing. It had calmed by the time they arrived, but was still just over 160 bpm. It caused great discussion between them as they hadn't seen this before. At hospital the consultant had. I was admitted to a ward and stayed there for a few days until my heart dropped to it's normal rhythm. I bought myself a stethoscope and now that's the only thing I trust.
Do you know how to take your pulse in your neck? That should give you a more reliable pulse rate.
Hope you soon feel better.

Yep, especially after I've eaten. My heart seems to be OK, and I put it down to the digestive activity, and the worry about my heart having sensitised me to listening to my body.
