Waiting time for Cardioversion

Anybody know waiting time for cardioversion in Wolverhampton ?

The best you can do is to call your Cardio or EP's secretary and ask. They will be able to answer your query. Waiting times are a lot longer now than they were pre covid once I managed to see a Cardio I had mine within two months. If you are on the list you can always contact them and say you can be available for a short notice cancellation or possibly see if you can get one done privately if the wait appears to be too long and you can afford it - the cost when I asked was about £1500 but would go up if for some reason you had to stay in hospital over night because of complications - this would probably not happen but if you go that route best be aware that this could cost another £500 or thereabouts. Personally I don't know anyone who has had to stay in hospital after a CV but am sure it could and does sometimes happen.

Tks, I'm seeing the cardiologist today 8th so will ask. I've asked for Private but Wolverhampton do not do this and Nuffield Health do not offer this service anymore sorry do not know why

Yes the cardiologist said its weeks rather than months and he will ask the secretary about estimated times. Must admit not looking forward to it. Been in AF for 6 weeks now longest ever
