I have recently experienced periods of feeling lightheaded, particularly after doing jobs that include looking upwards or downwards for any length of time, before returning to normal position. I know that my Blood Pressure is on the low side with pulse rate regularly in the mid 50's .... My question is does anyone suffer from this lightheaded dizziness. I recently read that raising your bed at the head end by about 15cm can help with this problem (although somewhere I saw raising at the bottom of bed was recommended). Any comments on your experience would be appreciated, as raising the bed at one end may be today's task ....

Lightheaded
Many of us do. I would suggest you read some of the articles on the STARS website which give really good practical suggestions as to how to manage this. I have had it mildly all my life and I learned more from the STARS Patient Day information a few years ago than anyone had ever explained to me because whenever I mentioned it to various GP’s I was dismissed and told ‘wasn’t I lucky to have low BP’. Well NO, not when when I couldn’t bend over, walk upstairs or change position without seeing stars and feeling very weak.
Although headed about COVID, this article is very interesting regarding management
Also have your neck checked out for osteoarthritis.
I had a similar issue but it turned out it was my neck and shoulders and nothing to do with my heart or blood pressure. I have some arthritis in my neck from years of working at a laboratory bench. Might be worth considering.
