Getting off Verapamil

After 2nd ablation for SVT, I had AFib episodes. Cardiologist said I could take Verapamil and if this did not stop Afib, could add Flecainide. I was told for the SVT ablation blanking period 1 week. I concluded 3 months more appropriate and decided to take 180 mg Verapamil sustained release once/day and 50mg Flecainide 2x daily. 4 months post ablation I stopped flecainide 50mg twice daily with no adverse effects. Been off Flecainide for 3 weeks. Starting today will take 80 mg in morning and 80 mg in evening (180 mg down 160 mg). Don't know how long to do this for before dropping to 120 mg/d (40 mg at a time, 8 hours apart). How long to stay on this dosage? Then 40 mg twice daily (120 mg down to 80 mg)...for how long? Tend to think I should then just cease Flecainide, or should I go 40 mg once a day?

Then hopefully off Verapamil. I want to see if I can be free of these medications and this will also give an indication of how successful the ablations have been. I need to work out a PIP strategy in case I have SVT or Afib (especially in the taper down period). Take ECG many time each day, using Apple Watch. I take Xarelto (anti-coagulant). Not looking for advice, but comments welcome. Keen to hear how others have gone with ceasing meds.
