I have taken 10 mg a day for 7 years no problem

Bisoprolol
That sounds remarkably good Mazza. I’ve been taking an increased dose of 5mg for a few months now and have struggled a bit with fatigue but I’m getting there! What I love about bisoprolol as a meditator of many years’ standing, (or should I say sitting?) is that it has the effect of calming my mind and I can sit for extended periods without restlessness. It’s a really useful side effect! 😊👍🙏
You probably have a heart rate which is above 70 and maybe a slightly high blood pressure. The people who, I think, have problems with it have normal rates of about 60 and then they are not happy when their hr goes down to 50 or below. My doctor said she wouldn't worry until the low 40s but she didn't have to put up with it.
I ditched it as soon as I could.
I guess that taking 10mg a day is what is bringing your hr down to 50s but it still isn't bringing your AF down much. Why actually do you take bisoprolol?
I took 2.5mg of Bisoprolol for 7 weeks before the first very rare side effect showed itself - painful urticaria. Because that was Christmas Eve it was 8 weeks before I could see a GP who dismissed the idea that Bisoprolol could cause urticaria. In the 12th week I saw another GP who has skin medication additional qualifications who recognised the urticaria as being caused by Bisoprolol. While I was being weaned off it I had an exacerbation of Asthma, caused by Bisoprolol, and spent 2 nights in hospital. I was taken off all beta blockers. It just shows that there is no standard human body.
