Has anyone taken ivermectin and metoprolol succinate? Did you experience any reactions? I want to take ivermectin for protocol but I read that a side effect is low blood pressure, and I already suffer with extremely low blood pressure. Can anyone shine some light on this situation for me?

You should ask the doctor who recommended ivermectin...intestinal parasites can not be a pleasant experience. Best of luck.

The problem is that there is a myth that Invermectin protocol will protect against COVID19 and many people are overdosing and making themselves very ill.

I was aware of that 😏..I live in farm country... farmers use it to deworm their equine and bovine stock. They also mass innoculate their herds to protect against the spread of disease. You mention anti-vaxxers, and they just roll their eyes.

The reports from Oklahoma are fake news. They originated in Rolling Stone who have now retracted their story. The hospital concerned said that the doctor named in the story no longer worked there and that they were not overwhelmed at all with people having overdosed on Ivermectin. Ivermectin has been used in humans as an anti parasitic drug in Africa to prevent river blindness for 30+ years. It is also used to treat scabies . Here in France there have been doctors reporting that in old peoples homes where the residents had been treated for scabies with Ivermectin they had had no cases of covid. More than 4 billion doses of Ivermectin have been administered throughout the world since it was discovered (Japanese discoverer got Nobel prize for it and says it does have anti viral activity) and it has a better safety profile than Paracetamol. In doses used for humans it is very safe. Of course people should not be taking pills or pastes meant for large animals such as horses or cows. I suspect that this recent media frenzy is similar to the one used to discredit Hydroxychloroquine which culminated in the Surgishere "Lancetgate" scandal.

I have no idea to what you refer. I avoid press - usually exaggerated or plain inaccurate. I was referring to an article from one of the medical journals about a study which looked at the efficacy of Invermectin particularly on Either preventing or treating COVID infections.

Anecdotal evidence of no disease is not evidence of efficacy of prevention or treatment, especially if precautions were taken to avoid infection entering the homes - unlike the UK who positively imported COVID into care homes.

Where did you get the idea that people were overdosing and making themselves ill? This has been all over the BBC and the Guardian in the last week. I would be interested to read the article you refer to . Many care homes here were devastated by outbreaks of covid particularly in the first wave.

The problem is with people using Ivermectin made for animal use, it's not the same and can cause serious problems, overdosing being one.

Niki_ profile image
Niki_ in reply to bantam12

It is not only for animal use! It been used for humans for many many years!

bantam12 profile image

The animal and human products are different.

Niki_ profile image
Niki_ in reply to bantam12

Yes I don’t believe anybody is telling people to go to an animal feed store and buy ivermectin.. people are saying that ivermectin can be used when purchased from a pharmacy for people! Just like sometimes animals use the same antibiotics as humans do. I wouldn’t suggest anybody buying any medicine from an animal feed store for human consumption. But ivermectin is widely available through regular pharmacies with a prescription.

But unfortunately that is exactly what people in the US are doing. They won't get the Covid vaccine, but are consuming ivermectin paste for animals from information they have seen on social media. It is nuts. The national poison control call center and some southern state hospitals have reported numerous illnesses and overdoses from ivermectin use.

Niki_ profile image
Niki_ in reply to Madscientist16

A good majority of those reports are totally false.. the media lies … that’s just the facts.

Madscientist16 profile image
Madscientist16 in reply to Niki_

I saw the social media posts myself. These people are not kidding. They are taking ivermectin paste for animals and are asking for advice on how much to take on Facebook...and they are getting replies...HUNDREDS of replies on how much to take and how often.

Niki_ profile image
Niki_ in reply to Madscientist16

I’m saying the overdoses are fake … that is not happening .. there has not been “all these people” overdosing on ivermectin… the media has fabricated these stories! Many have officially retracted them.

Madscientist16 profile image
Madscientist16 in reply to Niki_

That is not what poison control centers are saying. You can overdose without dying. The reports of death may have been exaggerated by MSM, but not people getting sick from it. npr.org/sections/coronaviru...

Niki_ profile image
Niki_ in reply to Madscientist16

I’m not sure what your point is? Ivermectin reduces death by covid by 90% .. I’m sorry that this fact is so upsetting to so many people .. that’s the data in the studies so far .. that’s the data coming come other countries who have used this.. the original post was about using this properly… if you take too much Tylenol it can destroy your liver or kill you… the end.

beach_bum profile image
beach_bum in reply to Niki_

I'll tell you what's not fake. The entire stock of Ivermectin flying off the shelf at our local feed store leaving a shortage for the livestock that need it. Of course if you live in a city you wouldn't notice.

People should not take animal ivermectin. Human ivermectin is available through India or several countries not tired to USA's FDA's Big Pharma leadership. Been taking human ivermectin for a year now and so far no FDA Fauci-Chinese virus. No side affects either; I have AFIB. You can't trust any USA government agencies to tell the truth anymore due to politics.

Of course. As I said above people should not be using pills and pastes meant for horses and cows. But Ivermectin is just as much a human medicine. The lying MSM have been puttng out stories with headlines implying strongly that it is an animal medicine only.

Auriculaire profile image
Auriculaire in reply to Niki_

Thank you. Being bilingual as far as reading is concerned I have access to info that most people here do not. For instance the anglo phone mainstream press have constantly beat the "no efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine " drum. However I have listened to interviews on France Soir with medical professionals and scientists like Prof Christian Perrone and others who say that clinical trials ( RCTs) were being done in France that were showing a modest efficacy for the drug. These were pulled by the Health minister when the Lancet study came out. But they were not reinstated when the Lancetgate scandal broke and Surgishere data was shown to be completely fake. Also the links between those dissing Hydroxychloroquine and Raoult with Gilead have been exposed.

Niki_ profile image
Niki_ in reply to Auriculaire

Oh yeah me and a few family members Used hydroxychloroquine when we got covid and we’re better within 24 hours! The problem is you don’t need a vaccine for a illness that has viable treatment that’s why all viable treatments are being villainized and treated as conspiracy theories!

How does a person get a prescription for Ivermectin without going through a pharmacy? My doctor prescribed Ivermectin and HCQ for the China Virus. If he says they are good treatment protocols, that's good enough for me.

You can find online doctors & do a telemed video visit. Several free ones

Please take advice from your doctor and know that if you are taking as a prophalactic against COVID there are a lot of warnings from studies which show that Invermectin has no efficacy and can make people very ill.

Auriculaire profile image
Auriculaire in reply to CDreamer

There are also studies that show that it is effective and there are on going clinical trials that have not yet reported. I believe the jury is still out as far as trials are concerned . However it is not out as far as epidemiological comparisons between different states in the same country are concerned ie in Mexico and India. Also in Africa those countries that use Ivermectin as prophylactic against river blindness have far lower rates of covid than those who don't. Incidentally they also use Hydroxychloroquine against malaria.

There have been over 24 published peer reviewed control trial studies on the efficacy of Ivermectin in treating covid-19. It is one of the WHO's essential medicines and has a long safety profile having been used to treat river blindness in tropical countries for many years. The British Ivermectin Recommendation Division is a group of independent UK doctors who are gathering data on its efficacy and advocate its authorisation for covid-19 treatment here. Please see their website, or the work of Dr Tess Lawrie, Dr Pierre Kory, Dr Peter McCullough, the FLCCC Alliance and many others

Hi 19ashley89!

Do you have worms or parasites? Why would you take Ivermectin, the horse wormer, that I give to all of my horses, who do get worms quite easily.

Rather see your doctor.

Florellina profile image
Florellina in reply to Flimmeri

It is also a human medicine. On the WHO's list of essential medicines and won the Nobel prize for its Japanese discoverer. If has been used to treat river blindness for many years.

Ivermectin is not authorized for use in treating Covid in the US. It is used for other conditions in humans & animals. The product for animals is different than that given to humans. Many people have had to be treated at the hospital for taking it. At least one hospital wouldn't give a Covid patient Ivermectin & there was a legal fight. The patient died. There are clinical trials going on right now to see if it can treat Covid, but right now it is not part of Covid treatment here.

Lmoore8908 profile image
Lmoore8908 in reply to Camille777

Of course it not, if there's prevention, h cure, there no need for the vaccines. Think outside the box 📦

19ashley89 profile image
19ashley89

I understand that it has not been proven, but I can't take the vaccine due to heart disease and platelet problems. Plus, I am considered high risk for covid because all these things make me immune-compromised. So if there is any hope there that it could save my life I'll take my chances. Also, my ivermectin is doctor prescribed. I would never take any animal product.

There are a number of doctors that have been leading the way with IVM treatments and are having great success, speaking out and sharing their results with the public. Perhaps look at the FLCCC, Dr Peter McCullough, Dr Tess Lawrie or Dr Pierre Kory. If you speak to them about your particular health concerns it may be a good place to start..

Hope you get the help you need.

Thank you to everyone who has offered their advice to 19ashley89, always contact your health care provider with regards to medications as they are able to answer your enquiry on a personal basis. Further to everyone's personal opinions with regards to the Covid-19 vaccine, may we remind everyone that the Forum is here to help provide supportive advice to other members relating to atrial fibrillation not vaccines. It is with regret that we have once again, received a number of reports relating to this topic over the weekend. May I remind everyone to be courteous in your replies and if you require any advice regarding the vaccine, please speak to your own doctor. Many thanks, Tracy

I take a very low dose of metroplol tartrate once a day. I usually run a fairly low blood pressure. I've been taking preventative dose of Ivermectin and have not had any changes in blood pressure or problems since starting to my knowledge. Feeling good, praise Jesus
