Just started on Apixaban

Has anyone experience increased back & joint pain in Apixaban ?

Have been taking it fir several years with no problems. Haven’t heard this happens but always difficult to work out causes when things occur together

Had back pain along spine predominately soon after starting Apixaban and Bisoprolol but only lasted about 3 days. Not sure if back pain is a symptom of Apixaban though

HiI have been taking apixaban for over 18months

No back pain but do get bad joint pains

Not all the time but it comes and goes say possibly every 2 to 3 months

Possibly not even linked to the drugs but coincidence it started at a similar time

Don’t forget I have Afib like most of us on hear so is it the course

I’m sure others will be along to put there thoughts across

It is unlikely to be linked, but more likely to be part of the aging process. I have both before and since starting Apix - no change......

A very strange comment. I had a similar reaction to Rivaroxaban. After 12 days I was taken off it. I cannot take beta blockers because of very rare and rare side effects. Nothing to do with aging.

Yes. I am pretty sure it is linked as before my hip op I was taken off Apixaban for 8 days and given bridging Lovenox jabs. Pain diminished considerably. I have also expeimented with reducing the dose - same result.
