body shaking

I have had 3 ablations in 1 year finally my HR was under control then about 8 months later my heart rate went to 180. I went to the ER they shocked me and I was ok for Almost a year. Then in April 2021 this year I started to have episodes ago. I had to start taking the metoprolol again It's somewhat under control. Have an appointment with a different Cardio dr next month. This is my question does anyone at night feel like their whole body is just rocking or shaking while they are trying to sleep, but my fitbit does not record any abnormal HR. I do sleep on a waterbed so sometimes I think it feels more intent than it would on a regular bed.

I don’t recall anyone mentioning this before but I don’t think waterbeds are very common here in the UK. Hope you find a solution......

I am used to experiencing the body shakiness. I have put it down to the nervous system getting upset and off kilter. Not nice is it.

Yes but it’s internal and not external (can’t be seen). It’s a rare symptom of afib! Someone posted here they felt like they were sitting on a generator or standing on top of an underground railway. I feel same but sometimes it’s like riding a wave. It can come on suddenly and sadly because it took years to dx me my “orthostatic type tremor” stuck 24/7. Bisoprolol (excuse spelling) has eased it!

No, but my Kardia registers afib during these episodes. But then I have afib most of the time. Who knows? Can't say that it worries me. Just an observation that, OK, there is the buzz again.

Fitbits aren't very good at picking up hr at times unless it is a regular solid beat. A Kardia or a chest strap hr monitor should be more accurate if you have access to either of these.

A few years ago I suffered from this inner tremor. it was a by-product of BFS. many of those who suffered from it had this inner tremor. it is likely triggered by an extremely overactive nervous system. In my humble opinion, nothing to be scared of. However, fear intensifies it. Try to ignore it and most of the time it will go away after a while. I hope that calms you down a bit 👍

Excuse my ignorance but what is BFS?. I am a vey nervous anxious person and suffer from panic attacks, but I take Alzam which helps. I get these inner shakings too and when I check my pulse it is in the 6os and my blood pressure is more on the low side than high. I have symptomless PAF. Although I try to limit the number of Alzam tablets I take, they are they only thing that helps . The shakes are particularly bad when I am very anxious. A couple of weeks ago a truck cut a corner at high speed and collected my wing mirror which meant over a week at the panel beaters. I live in South Africa and am waiting for my Covid vac, no idea when I'll get it although I'm 78 , then last night my inverter (which I need because of all the power cuts ) failed. Every outing is a trial because of my fear of contracting the disease, so these things build up. It is 4pm in the afternoon now and although I took an Alazam at 6am , I had to take another and I am beginning to feel fine. I tell my doctor that I fear becoming a drug addict (Alzam is Xanax in the US)- she is not concerned, she feels at my age I should not worry about it, the important thing is feeling well.H ow do you all feel about this.I take 1.25mg Bisoprolol, Xarelto 20, 1.20mg Ravamil, and 10mg Zetomax for BP. I have seen a therapist but is does not help with my anxiety.

I am sorry to hear that you suffer from anxiety attacks. BFS is a syndrome with many faces, all of which can be very unpleasant, but are always harmless. The symptoms (internal shaking, for example) can be anxiety-provoking and anxiety can exacerbate the symptoms, so it's best to ignore them. I had this in a very difficult phase of life for a few years and then it went away just as suddenly as it had come before. I had never taken medication for anxiety, so I can't say much about it. However, medicinal plants can help well against anxiety, and also acupuncture. I hope you feel better soon. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them.
