Antibiotics!!

I have been prescribed cephalexin 500 mg tablets twice per day ... l don’t have an infection; however, l did have a ganglion cyst on my ankle removed and she prescribed them. I’m worried about stomach upset as this is a side effect ... and upsetting my very touchy Vegas nerve. Help!!!

People react differently to antibiotics but I can say that Cephalexin is one of the very few that I can take without any side effects. Good luck !

I take 250 mgs each night to stop urine infections with no problem . If you’re really worried you could try a bit of toast before taking it . You will be fine .

Antibiotics tend to kill the friendly bacteria in the gut microbiome.I saw the doctor this week for sigmoiditis - they suggested antibiotics but did not try to insist when I told them that I do not take antibiotics.

Were you offered "precautionary" antibiotics, or did you have an infection?

What are you doing to treat the sigmoiditis? You cannot just ignore it as it can lead to complications such as a perforated owel and peritonitis. Are you following a liquid diet?

I had blood samples taken, I am expecting a bowel sample kit, and, coincidentally, I am today starting a six day autophagy fast.

Precautionary ... l had a ganglion cyst removed from my ankle ... she felt that it was on a lower extremity, it would be wise to take the precautions. I agreed. It hurts this morning and itches!!
