Last Tuesday my BP ( normally 134/80) started increasing and I ended up in hospital with a BP 235/113. After ECG and 5mg of Bisoprolol it came down and I went home .
Perfect BP until today and around mid afternoon BP started going up again . I took extra Bisoprolol at home and it’s back down .
What is also strange is that my PAF and numerous daily ectopics have completely stopped .
I have no idea what caused my BP to go up .

For what use it is to you. Back in the day ( 11 years ago) ) when I first fell into this abyss of AF my initial symptoms were that I was going down with 'flu. As the day wore on this 'flu like state worsened. I had my BP machine at home and began to take readings.
Here is the rub as far as you are concerned my average BP in those days was around 136/80. As the day continued my BP bobbed around up and down until late afternoon when it took a nose dive and bottomed out at 76/50. Rang my GP, saw him immediately and sent off to hospital immediately, end result, in hospital for 6 days and came out with the diagnosis of AF.
So for what its worth, odd BP readings for me was the first indicator I had a heart health problem. Yet, I still felt I had flu. I could feel nothing going on in my chest at all, nothing ! The BP was saying it all though to the health care professionals. Bless you all at East Surrey.
Not saying this is for you, just recalling my own experience ..... jus sayin' 😊😊
On 19 January 2021 I did have a weird 'off spell' which resulted in me calling the paramedics. Blood pressure reading the evening before was pretty normal 132/75 with HR 63 bpm. I got up the next morning felt like crap ! BP started off at 154/97 with HR 70.Next reading later on was 160/83 with HR of 73. BP then slowly began to fall but HR increased. I took an extra 2.5 mg of Bisoprolol as a pill in the pocket and eventually 12 hours later it all returned to normal. Paramedics diagnosed ventricular ectopics. I showed them my ECG from my handheld ECG device and they took their own. Wanted me to get hospital treatment I refused. Said that if it was still like this after 24 hours I'd review the decision. Lets face it, why go somewhere when they are treating patients with CoVid in the same building.
Since then I have had a number of one off irregularities laasting 10 minutes to 30 minutes, BP goes crazy, ECG shows problems but I just ignore it. If it were events that last NON STOP for 24 hours or longer - or - IF I felt worse I'd have gone for the hospital option.
Hi,As far as January 2021 is concerned the only thing I can think of is that something I ate on the evening of 18th January and/or sleeping on my left side triggered my dysfunctional vagal nerve and a 'wobbly' was the result. Not had it of that magnitude
since. Short runs of rubbish yes, but nothing like January.
