Confusing BP readings...left arm versus right

Hi all hope everyone is well on this glorious day.

Bit confused at the moment as whether left arm BP reading or right arm, which is higher than left arm is the one to go with to keep a check on my BP.

I have always used my left arm and taken these readings to be legit. Have had headaches for over a week so been doing daily BP checks (left arm) which has been around 122/78 on average.

Today I started BP check, left arm similar result to above one. Due to headache still persisting, I decided to do BP test using right arm. Result: 137/72 on average.

I carried out several tests : the left was always lower than the right arm one.

Thing is which reading is the most reliable one as I do have to monitor my blood pressure?

Thank you in advance

Have a rewarding day

The higher reading is presumably the accurate one. The lower one suggests a degree of narrowing in the artery. That’s a big difference, you need to advise your doctor.

A difference of more than 10 mm Hg, you probably want to get it checked out. And ask about the headaches as well.

Best wishes.
