If possible go two weeks minimum. I didn't feel well enough to work for months, but I am a slow recovered and a gym instructor! Be kind to yourself. Get well soon xx

It all depend on yourself I went for 3mos and it came back had a second ablation over 5yrs now have no return! If I have to have another ablation one, I am ok with that I take no meds, now! This all depends on us the one thing I have given up is alcohol that seems to make my heart race but in normal SR. Right now for you just take it one day at a time talk to as many people to learn more about their experiences these people here give great advice!

Thank you

Hello Maisiemay, hope you are feeling OK after your ordeal. Didn’t they tell you in your discharge notes? I agree with Jaja, no less than two weeks. If your groin is bruised, just think what the inside of your ticker must look like 😳. All the best.

No as we say in the fact sheets first week full rest second week a little more,. Recovery can be fluid so please don't give yourself targets. Listen to your body and don't be pressured.

After having had 3 ablations I agree with the other replies here. You need to have at least two weeks to recover afterwards and perhaps more if needed. If you go back to work too soon you will bitterly regret it and feel quite poorly.

I don't know why it is that we all feel so guilty at being off from work. You may get days when you feel really well and others when you're totally drained, that's all quite normal.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Jean

I had 5 weeks off after mine.

I've had 4 ablations. If you can get 2 weeks .... take it. However, I never took off more than a week. After my last ablation ... instructions to resume full activities after 1 week ... including moderate non-restricted exercise. Good Luck! in your recovery.

Hi maisey, my job is similar to yours as in office based, I took a month off after my ablation, but I have read of folk going back after 1 to 2 weeks. !! Take a nice break off and take it easy you’ll heal faster.👍

U should ask your doctor. A week sounds good but everyone heals differently. Stay safe
