I had a call from my doctors yesterday asking if I would like the vaccine today (Sunday). It was a surprise as I wasn't expecting it until April. Still, I won't query it as I'd like to get it done and move on with life.
I've been on medication for two weeks and am due to speak to my Cardiologist in the next week about treatment for my AF. Things are moving quickly.

Perhaps your area have already vaccinated the 60-69 group. I think I heard that Wales was way ahead of it's target, but then they have a lower population than England. Thinking about it some areas of England were ahead too, not here in Devon though.
WEB - 6 GP practices all coordinated their efforts and started the week after the Pfitzer vaccine was approved - vaccinating 900 people a day at a local sports centre. Then the mass vaccination programme started a few weeks ago at West Point so you had the choice of where to go. I have nothing but praise for the way the programme has been organised here, including the 15 mins observation after the vaccine before you are cleared to leave to ensure no immediate adverse reactions.
There was no 15 min observation after my AZ vaccine. Perhaps it's just for the Pfizer? I walked straight out and drove home. The waiting queue was quite long too. I was upset to see an elderly lady with two walking sticks queueing and wondered why she hadn't been lead straight to the front. I called her to go in front of me, but the people directing where to go should have helped her right away. Wasn't impressed I'm afraid. Yet I'd heard others who went on different days have nothing but praise and no longish wait like I had. Think it was probably just a busy moment. Your team did well.
I was distressed to see so many queues in Plymouth with obviously frail, elderly in freezing temps on the news a few weeks ago.
Our lot had wheelchairs at the ready at the ramps which were well manned and lots of volunteer helpers. You drove directly to the bottom of the ramp, passengers alighted and then directed into a parking spot. Once they got to the under 70’s there were fewer helpers and queues but under cover and really good supervision and spacing. Everyone in the town has nothing but praise for all the organisation - evidently they started planning this last summer.
Hiya, there was no queuing for us. We had appointments 10 mins apart so we could wait in the car till it was our turn. We had the Pfizer one, no side effects apart from a sore arm for two weeks. Good luck I hope you get yours soon.
I was ‘done’ at the Shepton Show Ground and it is wonderfully well organised there. I was actually about 15 minutes early but no problem, no queue, strait in and out.
Because I drove there by myself they did ask me to just sit in my car and wait for 15 minutes in case I got a reaction from the AZ jab.
I was still as awake as I ever am after 15 mins and so off I went👍
Getting my second shot this morning (Pfizer) and my doc tells me thats the one that put her down for a week - nice to know. I guess "what does not kill me makes me stronger?" Good luck and good health to all!
