My AFib is definitely getting worse is it something more serious.Over the last 7 to 14 days I have felt very dizzy & lightheaded like when it all started.Lots of rib pain .I bowled last week & matches went on too long.Chest twinges throughout & pain in left shoulder. Not mechanical pain but I am sure heart related and this did show as a symptom on 24 HR monitor a year ago.Vpb reading on emay portable ECG .had a few since usually after dizziness or over doing things. Not everyday.HR not unusual except when shoulder pain at worst.I sat&watched it climb to 180.maybe panic.
My ablation not until Feb or March.
should I be worried? Without the pain & the ECG readings I would just think its playing up again.
We are going away in 10 days for amonth .
.
so don't know ifI could get any help before we go and hubby is in a bowling comp in the Algarve and he will probably have to miss the late February one for my ablation

I can understand your worry Katz. My advice would be to go and have a chat with your GP asap to see what he/she thinks of your high heart rate, feeling dizzy and chest pain. Perhaps ask whether you can up your meds or take them alongside something else just while on holiday. Sorry to say this but I think you are being given warnings, which it would be foolish of you to ignore.
thankyou .Always the first to answer.Hope you are feeling better .The problem is as I am awaiting an ablation and under hospital care GP not getting involved .The only meds I am is Diliatazem.I can try ringing Arrythmia nurses tomorrow but I didn't find them helpful when hr very low.
yes rang them this morning.Didnt get dragon lady but the guy I reckon is the best .I did think I was going to be fobbed off as I have been passed over to ep.But I said Idon't know how to contact him .I also said Gp doesn't want to know as in hospital care.He has asked me for ecgs with notes on what has been happening.
it took me 3 hours to get all the info together but sent.
I will wait and see what happens next.Suspect I won't get on holiday on 29th but it maybe just extra meds.
I might let hubby go to his bowling comp & check the apartment.Only problem no other family.
Your health comes first Katz. It's all bit of nightmare trying to prove your point to EP isn't it. It's better to have hope of holidays up ahead and be in the land of the living, than go on holiday now and push yourself too much.
Hi, I just replied to your previous post because I went to look at your history. Please take your high heart rate seriously. As BobD wisely says, people don’t die of AF unless they try to run a marathon in AF. I hesitate to mention this but unless you were in a great hurry when you wrote this post it doesn’t look quite right to me. I’m not being critical but observant. Please see your GP asap ❤️🩹
I know I did rabbit on a bit as usual.I have been moderating the excercise a bit although my excercise classes aren't bothering me at all and rates pretty reasonable over the last couple ofwent weeks .I also went for a mile walk & no probs.I have refrained from the bowls today.Last week I was really bad after bowling and chest was complaining when bowling and really bad shoulder pain.Intense ache under the shoulder blade spreading front to back. Not structural.Although an ache rather than Sharp I would put it at a 8 to 9.I nearly went to A& e.
Also had a couple of Vpb readings & a Ron T. I have had Vpb readings on 3 out of 5 days. Occasional light palpitations on occasions which has never been a symptom for me.
As I said just worried but symptoms could be what most people experience routinely.
please Google “heart attack symptoms in women” as they can be quite different to the crushing pain symptoms that you mention. That’s a common misconception of heart attack symptoms.
could be American terminology.Should read R-on -T" PVCs may occur early in the cycle (R-on-T phenomenon), after the T wave (as seen above), or late in the cycle - often fusing with the next QRS (fusion beat). R-on-T PVCs may be especially dangerous in an acute ischemic situation, because the ventricles may be more vulnerable to ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation."I believe Vpb is Ventricular Premature Beat ? Pvc.
This is worth checking out. I noticed too that your wording is a bit chaotic in posting. Not normal for you. It could just be anxiety butit could also be your system saying it needs help. Wishing you well.
KKatz. Call your EMS so you can get checked out before you go on your trip. Your symptoms may mean something or maybe not. But you won't find out if you don't call. Best to you. Sarah from San Diego 🤔
the chances of getting anything checked out before we go virtually impossible.Getting appointment for anything in the UK virtually impossible as so overloaded. But I have sent ecgs off to our Arrythmia Nurses to look at.
