Just my personal opinion, but yes, I think in your position I would want to. And I suspect that because you are asking the question in the first place, you may also think that.

Was there any reason given as to why you were not to worry? Seems logical that you would be concerned and want to know what could be done and why it wasn’t suggested.

As this is an AF forum you might get some better informed answers from the BHF site?

I have had this for many years. Now the leaking is severe and surgery has been suggested. I am in the uk. It will be a while before a decision is made.I see Cardiologist at beg. of march. Not sure I will opt for surgery.

Any. Right Ventricular failure or dilitation?

Yes. But not yet fully discussed with cardiologist after echo as a lot of 'related' problems crept into the mix in Nov. and Dec.

Sounds like you have severe disease that can result in irreversible right sided heart failure.. Hopefully you will get to discuss the risks / benefits of any indicated procedure with a cardiac surgeon. Best wishes and best of luck.. ethereal

To cheer you up! I can walk for up to an hour(at 82) at quite a speed with no problems non stop and do everything domestically i want to do .Tricuspid failure is only fairly recently being acknowledge re. surgery and in the uk it is important to find an experienced surgeon
