Hi Cleopatra

I recommend Dr Boon Lim - perhaps as an initial contact. You can arrange a telephone consultation with him ( perhaps even in this time of Covid). You will find his secretary’s contact details by Googling. Once you have a date for the consultation, you can then email him the full information about your health condition plus a list of any questions you would like to ask. He is the loveliest man - easy to talk to, too.

I consulted Dr Boom Lim in desperation and he advised me to have an ablation ASAP because AF begets AF and after taking a detailed history, he thought there was just a chance that the ablation treatment would help. He wrote a clinical letter and fortunately was able to recommend an NHS electrophysiologist near my home town as he deemed it best that I should have the procedure locally. I live in York not London. I should add that my case was pretty straightforward except that I have a severely enlarged left atrium. The AF is predicted to return but so far so good, except for some short bouts of atrial flutter. I had the left atrium ablation about fifteen months ago.

I do wish you all the very best. Please let us know how you get on. This is a wonderful forum and it has been hugely helpful to me. Those who make the effort to post regularly to support others really do need applauding. I love the humorous exchanges too ( thank you FlapJack et al).

Do you mean Dr Boom Lim? Try emailing pa@drboonlim. co.uk. The name of his PA is Simi Rathore.

Or try phoning 0208187 9888 - the One Wellbeck Heart Heath, Marylebone, London W1G OAR.

Or try 020 3313 2155 which is Imperial College, London.

He also has a Twitter account and you could try sending him a private message. Bear in mind Covid may have had an impact on his availability. I hope this information helps.
