Do you know the reasoning for advising both? And who advised? Personally, unless I’d had a stroke or a heart attack or a VERY good reason I personally wouldn’t take both.

I agree with CD , when they thought I had a heart attack they put me on anti platelet in hopsital despite my warning them what would happen and two night in I swam out of a very red bed . I think Niagra started in the back of my nose--- and I NEVER have nose bleeds normally.
I would certainly question this. My late husband was on Rivaroxaban and was given Aspirin and Clopidgerel (sp) in A&E. I questioned this and was spoken to as if I was an idiot. The doctor that prescribed it was the idiot because my husband had a huge internal bleed and needed blood transfusions. He walked into hospital and left with a Zimmer frame.
It’s a very long story, but this incident was the beginning of the end for my husband because we couldn’t get him fit enough to continue with his cancer treatment.
Please please question this straight away.
Before I had my cardiac arrests in 2018 I took several aspirin every day to help my arthritis pain. But after I was put on rivaroxaban, they told me I could only use tylenol (which doesn't hardly work at all for my arthritis <sigh>). My cardiologist told me I must NEVER take an aspirin unless I had a big problem and had already called 911 and the ambulance was on its way.
I was taking Clopadogril after a stroke....few weeks later l was diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation and was put on Rivaoxyban as well.....most mornings l was waking up to nose bleeds..very concerning...l questioned this and immediately my consultant asked what the hell l was doing on both and immediately had the Clopadogril stopped....I've since been fine....
I definitely wouldn’t take both. I have AFib and just take Rivaroxaban. If that is effective to stop blood clots, what is the point of taking anything else as well?
Hi Wendy ive been on Rivaroxiban for years , i have AF, amongst other issues i have never had any issues i take one morning and night , i had several mini strokes and heart attacks in 2004 but have never been advised to take asprin , i would double check with your doctor to make sure he is aware your taking both .
