Hi all, this isn’t a current problem as such but I’ve been wondering about this.

When I cam home from my ablation I had these strange blisters not many but just under my bust where my heart is, I thought it was maybe an allergy to this sticker things they put on you for the monitors. In fact they’ve never really gone and stayed as tiny little raised things. They aren’t many and not bothersome.....but I was wondering am I the only one?

I wondered if it was that that things they use to kick start your heart?? It’s just something that I’ve wondered about,

Any ideas?

Sue

Not something I have heard of before but I know some folk can have reaction to pads. Might be worth contacting the Arrhythmia nurse attached to the hospital or asking the question at your first review.

Try putting some Sudocrem antiseptic cream on them, that's what I do with any unusual spots, it's amazing stuff.

It’s more like scar tissue now Jean, it was as if I’d been burnt after the ablation. That was year and half ago, they dint trouble me I just wondered after all this time if anyone else had it?

Hi Sue a very good friend of mne had third degree burns on back and front from the DCCV pads which nobody had ever seen before. It was suspected that maybe she had sweated a lot under the pads and been broiled. Took six months or more to finally go away. Suggest you sepak to your doctor.

That’s interesting bob. It’s really weird I came home with these blisters. Little bubbles like I’d been burnt, It was year and half ago, they healed in tiny lumps like scar tissue, I was curious if it had happened to anyone else.

So darn hard here with my cardio as it’s all in French which I’m not bad at these dayts but he has a Czech accent with it!

I blister with certain sticking plaster so have to be careful. Sounds as if you have been left with some scar tissue. You are doing well to be able to converse in medical terms!

I had a cardioversion 4 weeks ago and had the imprint of the pads on my front and back and blisters from the smaller ECG pads. They have all gone now thankfully, I am allergic to plaster adhesive.

Thanks for telling me, I’m sure that’s what happened to me. I’ve still got tiny little lumps where it was
