I had mine fitted last Saturday. Just healed over, with one stitch, after they injected it in to my chest. Getting used to the idea of it slowly....

It sends data to the hospital every night by satellite and I can use a bleep key to get a reading whenever I get symptoms of chest pain or palpitations.

Had it fitted a few days after they did a Nuclear Perfusion scan. Not got any results back on that yet!

Be good to hear any experiences ?

i had a loop recorder put in about two years ago now. so they'll take it out in another year. it has been very useful as it picks up when i have afib or ectopics when a normal 24 hour monitor would miss. so the hospital now have a good overall picture of what my heart is doing and i'm on the waiting list for an ablation. i take sotalol 80mg twice a day. not sure if its helping or not.
