I had my ablation on Friday and it seemed to go well. My Apple Watch says I’m in sinus rbythm but I’m having palpitations and breathlessness. Is this usual?
I’m particularly worried about my breathing.
Anybody else had the shortness of breath?

quite normal. Read our facts sheet. heartrhythmalliance.org/res...
I had my ablation 2 weeks ago. I’ve had a few shortness of breath episodes.
I think it’s all the doing nothing and laying down.
I’m up and about today, no issues.
Give it a bit of time! ❤️
This link suggests that shortness of breath and palpitations are common after ablation:

The breathlessness might be restated to the phrenic nerve- this usually settles with time.
I would say that as you have only recently had the ablation you should ring the cardiac nurses associated with your hospital who should be able to set your mind at rest.
Thank you,I will
