I went into AFIB on saturday evening went to hospital and finally came out of AF 10 hrs later and then sent home after been admitted to the cardiology ward and monitored . I am really really tired and
never no what to expect the days after .
I am a bit out of breath when i do anything ,feel tired and have ringing in my head/ears never know ,which
Does anyone else get this ringing .It seems that when I am not right I get this ringing .
I think I also get a bit anxious at times with the stress i have had over my mum being in a care home .
I must add they think that i had Afib because i stopped bisoprolol at the request of the head of the pharmacy at my gp surgery after having a meeting face to face to discuss how awful i feel on bisoprolol.
Would appreciate any comments as I feel alone with this Afib never knowing what to expect .

I also had the ringing in ears during/after af. Felt my head would explode & could hardly hear - awful feeling.
My gp said he couldn't & wouldn't alter/stop meds until I had been seen & advice given by cardiologist. So I spoke to cardiologist sec & got emergency appointment few weeks later after going to A&E. I too was v poorly on Bisop. Since my 2nd ablation I am much better & now take Digoxin lowest dose x 3 times a day + Diltiazam 300mg slow release b4 bed. Together they are helping stop the very long af I was having.
What did a&e do treat your AF? Maybe they will report to your GP & cardiologist. We all react differently to heart drugs & various folk have had to come off the drugs I am now on due to side effects. Do let us know how you get on
I think the tiredness and breathlessness are usual - it would take me anything between 2-6 days to fully recover from a bad AF episode.
Many people struggle with Bisoprolol and I’m with your pharmacist. I had a stand up row with a cardiologist on the acute cardiology ward because I refused point blank to take Bisoprolol and no it did NOT cause my AF. I get a little annoyed with general cardiologist when they say things like that because it’s not true for everyone, we all react very differently.
Some people do find that Bisoprolol helpful, my husband takes it and is great on it. I on the other hand have a Red Alert on my medical file to ensure no-one ever tells me I need Bisoprolol ever again.
Yes, I had a ringing in my ears - I used to have Pulsatile tinnitus - heard loud pounding in my ears - then a constant ringing. I’m afraid that is something I just learned to live with but white noise in the background helps.
We are all different but this is my personal take after afib returns. I find my heart rate tends to be higher for a few days afterwards but lowers 2 or 3 days later.
The other thing as well is feeling stressed out in case it returns. However this feeling passes (for me) after a week or so - I think your mind adjusts and you feel 'normal' again.
Easy to say I know but take things easy for a few days and try to relax as much as you can.
