As always ask this forum to see what others have gone through and perhaps some pointers/reassurance.
I had my cryo for paf 3 months ago. Glad to say no episodes of af since. I have taken it very easy and just went back to part time work 3 weeks ago. I have lost three stone and no alcohol for 2 years plus. I am really trying to beat the beast!
At the beginning I was very fatigued and had lots of palps. The fatigue is getting better and I can walk several kilometres. I did contact the EP office and had a holter for several days and an echo that said my heart is fine.
But, and here is where I need the advice, I am getting more palpation's, several every day especially when I get up in the morning and they can be quite a jolt.
I know it is early days but is this normal ? Is it to be expected ? I try to ignore them but it is frightening. I do mediation and deep breathing to help.
Please can someone reassure/enlighten/help. I so want this cryo to have worked and get back to a normalish life.
thanks
Rod

Join the club, Rod. But, from what I've read, ectopic beats ("palpitations") seem to be normal in the general population, so fear not. It's more likely that, for obvious reasons, we are extra vigilant at noticing (and worrying) about them.
Hi there, yes bobs right three months isn’t that long.i reckon six months was my marker of not still getting days of fatigue......I’m a year and half in I occasionally get these ectopics....I told cardio and he said it was nothing....but I definitely feel different and aware of them.
I logged my ablation journey on this forum. You should check it out by clicking on my screen name. At 4 months, I reported short runs of tachycardia and ectopics daily. I am now 10 months post ablation and I still have daily ectopics. Some people consider "palpitations' to mean ectopics, but to others it is thumping or strong heart beat, and I still have that often as well, usually after exercise or eating.
