Went into AF yesterday morning after 6 months. BP was 105/70 day before, got up later than usual and bit to quickly. Went to get a dish from bottom cupboard and felt odd. I then had a bath, which probably a bad idea and spent while day on AF. Upped my Bisoprolol and Flecainaide, took Kardia Reading and back to normal this morning but bit breathless 🙁

AF after 6 months
I hope your ok xxx
Feeling better, little breathless.
I’m wondering also lack of water and electrolytes, considering a supplement
How much water do u drink xx
Not enough, I have a 700ml bottle that I try drink first thing in the morning and re-fill it for later. I drink tea also but not gallons!
Do u have caffeine free tea
I have tea bags but prefer proper loose leaf. I have decaf coffee. None of these trigger me. I'm sure its dehydration and my current diet regime. 14/10, you eat withing the 10 hours, rest of the time you fast, so I try to eat at 6pm, then will go without from 8pm till 10 next day, just means not grazing etc. The body has a rest and digests better. You can get some side effects. But I know I'm not brilliant with constantly drinking water. I hadn't skipped a meal, taking it sensibly.
I think maybe just drink more water. I can have 1 and half to two litres of fluid a day xx
Glad you're back to normal today, but AF is horrible when it strikes.
As we go from lying in bed to standing up, the heart has to beat harder to pump the blood to the brain and this is often a time AF will creep in. I keep pills I need to take, early morning, by my bed and usually sit and take those now before standing. As for bending, I won't do it for a while after getting out of bed.
I remember years ago bouncing out of bed and feeling so dizzy for about an hour or two that I could do nothing but go back to bed. At the time my doc said it was vertigo, but I now think it was AF.

Sent the Kardia readings to my Consultant and he confirmed Fast AF at first. Recommended an increase of meds, how long for I’m not sure, I’ll have to ask. He mentioned I was probably low in potassium, so, addressing that as well as dehydration. I do think dehydration triggers me.
