As a sufferer of ectopic episodes after my ablation 3 years ago, still no AF I started taking magnesium turate as advised by Dr Sanjay Gupta, BioCare 2 tablets per day, quite expensive I thought around £15 for 60 so I have sourced over the last year or so different makes at varying prices, but noticed my ectopic episodes were becoming quite annoying, so fit the last 2 months I have gone back to the BioCare tablets and the ectopic episodes have all but disappeared, so in conclusion you get what you pay for the cheaper magnesium turate saves you money but for me didn't do the job.

I think it'a a fact of life Brizzy - you get what you pay for. Designer jeans are always a better fit for instance. If it involves your heart health then pay a little extra and use what works best for you.
I also started to take these same brand but stopped after 4 weeks as they made no difference glad they worked for you, but since I’ve stopped taking them and drank coconut water and watermelon they seemed to calm down a bit
Have you found coconut water and watermelon works for you? I have been bothered by PVCs and taking magnesium hasn’t seemed to help. I will try anything else at this point because they actually hurt when they happen ☹️
Apart from a short time when recovering from ablation, I’ve not really experienced them. I try to use food as medicine and way back in the 1990’s I knew several people who studied food and one told me eat watermelon as it has a neutral Ph and excellent for hydratation and coconut water every day to keep electrolytes balanced - I did and have continued and not had ectopics now for years.
Did it work? who knows? but I got into the habit so nearly always include them somewhere in a meal.
I’m reading Eat to Beat disease and evidently Watermelon (and any food which has red colouring) is a food which encourages angiogenesis (growth of blood vessels) which is not good for some people who are prone to cancer but maybe beneficial for anyone with poor circulation?? So much we know and yet don’t really know or fully understand.
Unfortunately I can’t find any information as to relating to food to arrythmias, ectopics or similar.
Thank you for the informative reply. I suspect food choices can be beneficial (or harmful!), but it does seem hard to find data on food and arrhythmia. I’m going to give watermelon and coconut water a try though, since they both sound quite appealing to me in any case. I’m also going to check out Eat to Beat disease. Thank you for sharing!
For the last month, I’ve been having them about 10 to 20 a day, most but not every day. And each one does hurt. Feels like an electric “zap”, if that makes any sense. Each time they alarm and disturb me I must say. I am due to have an ablation (my second) on Sept 2nd, this time for atypical AFlutter. I’ve sent my EP a message asking if he can address these cause of these PVCs at that time, but I haven’t heard back from him yet. Hope it is possible!
10 20 a day is nothing really I think even healthy people get that but with you they hurt which is not nice and must follow a lot of anxiety afterwards I suffer also with ectopics I hope your 2nd abalation will fix everything
