Unlikely. But some diuretics can, like Bumetinide. Are you on something else ?

Yes I am on lixiana

I am on Bumetinide and I got Gout. Painful but easily cured - just another pill (Allopurinol) to take daily.

Ask your Doc for a blood test.

Ok thanks I have a blood test booked 2 Sept. Counting the days .just to have some relief from the pain

Allopurinol takes a few weeks to kick in. You may want to ask for a course of Prednisolone. It kicks in within hours and will tide you over until the Allopurinol starts to take effect. Just be careful with Prednisolon, come off it slowly. Do you mind if I ask where abouts the Gout is impacting?

Hi it is going from different joints .at the moment it is in both hands , yesterday it was in my left knee and right wrist. Sometimes it will stay in one place for a day, then move to another part even a menial tasks will make it flare up. They are testing also for rheumitode athritus.

Sounds like you have it worse than me. Talk to your doc - there are solutions available.

Can you get hold of any fresh cherries ? My husband suffers sometimes , in similar conditions , worse in hot weather. The two foods that really help neutralise the uric acid that causes gout are fresh cherries( in season still in UK ) and celery ! Eat as much fresh as you can manage . If. You have a juice extractor , juice celery with some carrots, it’s quite tasty. Keep up a good liquid uptake. I hope it helps you, it always has worked for him within a day.

Then make sure you avoid consuming too many foods that contain purines , like Tuna, eggs& avocados . Eats lots of salad

Thank you . I have tried the cherry b good juice, but it is a natural blood thinner . And I take lixiana a blood thinner

I will try the celery and carrot juice. How often in the day do you have the juice , I am hoping it will go as quick as it came, you are weary of doing anything in case you have a flare up. I am a very mobile person ,

Try eating whole , fresh cherries, not juice , fibre will help. Make up fresh celery & carrot juice, drink as much as you are comfortable with. Jon usually takes about 2 glasses , you could also add fresh beetroot, which is great for blood pressure & a bit of cucumber . Its the celery element that help the uric acid though . Reason I suggest making celery juice, most ppl wouldn’t be able to consume enough celery!
