Multivitamins
I take supplements - on the advice of a nutritionist or my GP or specialist after testing for deficiencies. I think multivitamins are a waste of money personally and a balanced nutritional eating plan much more important.
I take VitC - 1000mg slow release daily - generally advisable for most people, VitD3 - small dose on advice of my Neurologist, CoQ10 - on advice from cardiologist, Fish Oils, sometimes B complex, sometimes D-Ribose for Mitrochondria support, 1g Glucosamine - for osteo arthritis. \
Many on this forum take Magnesium supplements, which is probably the most popular for AF, but I am unable to.
Thank you. Did the deficiencies come up in routine blood tests or were they more specific ones that you carried out under the private system? My EP is of the view that supplements are a waste of time and money but as my episodes of AF are becoming more frequent according to my Apple Watch and yet I’m pretty much asymptomatic, I thought these may help.
I can’t see how they can help AF at all. I am regularly screened by my GP for all the iron & B12, most of the other stuff is done privately and only when I don’t feel well. VitD on request but it is available if you pay at our local hospital - it’s about £40/test.
CoQ10 is the only one not tested for but that is probably the one that most people with heart problems are advised to take. I have found this website helpful;- heartmdinstitute.com/diet-n...
