I think you hit the nail square when you said if you didn't have an app you wouldn't know. I never use these things as for me it would just increase anxiety.
That said 7.5 mg of bisoprolol a day is a pretty high dose especially when you are also on flecainide so if I were you I would discuss with your cardiollogist.
Soon after I had a successful cardioversion 6 months ago, my heart rate started going down, and when it reached 44 I contacted my GP who advised me to cut my bisoprolol dose from 10mg to 8.75mg, after an ECG, and to go back a month later with details of my BP and pulse for another ECG. My pulse was still sometimes as low as 44 (and still is now - never more than low 50s) and my BP had actually come down on the lower dose, but was still sometimes a little high, and he advised me to stay on the same dose.
My BP is now normal. My only complaint is that my feet and ankles have been swelling, more recently. I don't know if a too slow heart rate could be a cause? I have a phone appt with the consultant in 2 weeks' time, so will discuss then.
Hi, I agree with Paul. See your doctor. However, when fit mine drops to low 40s. Losing weight, and/or getting fitter can cause changes to RHR (resting heart rate), but better to check.
Just as a reference point, my doctor gets very concerned my heart rate can go as low as 41 often stays mid 40's but my cardiologist isn't that concerned. After two ablations I am now only on 1.25 Bisoprolol once a day , again as a reference point only, my cardiologist said whilst waiting for my third ablation I should skip a dosage if it hits the very low 40's. I guess we are all in so much need of being finely tuned with, life , mind and body.
