Sorry you are suffering Eirecara - I hope you revert soon. Have you tried a valsalva maneuvre or two?

Very interesting article, especially the bit about weight watching. Diets for AF patients are generally recommended to include low fat fish, chicken, eggs and vegs so the findings are very relevant. I did wonder what other stuff American women were eating in addition to these proteins?

Thanks Finvola. Yes, i’v tried valsalva but it didn’t work. I’v had success with VM the odd time when in a very fast arrhythmia. This time the a.fib was a bit different for some reason. I had zero energy for 2 days before a.fib hit. My hr would be 50 one second and then shoot up to 100+ (137 was the highest I caught on oximeter) Very symptomatic.

I am happy to say late last night SR returned. I have central cp. It feels as if my sternum is sore, still sob, and drained but feeling a lot better.

I hope alls well with you☘️

Good news Eirecara. I have found valsalva works with fast regular arrhythmia most of the time, but not with AF. A cardiologist told me to try a couple with irregular rhythm just in case it isn't AF. All is well with me on the AF front thanks to Flecainide - fingers crossed.

Rest up and I hope you get back to normal asap.

How is your heart today and what have you tried to get it back in rhythm?

Hi Jean, Happy to say a.fib has finally reverted to SR. Two days of exhaustion (was beginning to wonder had I pick up Covid) followed by 8 days of a.fib.

I increased magnesium, upped my water intake, rested, walked (around my house) low salt, low fat and carbs., reduced tea., valsalva manoeuvre.

I was so desperate yesterday, I phoned my EP’s secretary to see where I am on the list for an ablation. 18 people in front of me, and they do 2 cases a month. I’v been on the list since Oct 2019 🙄

Thank Jean. Best wishes. ☘️
