The left ventricle is the chamber of the heart that pumps oxygenated blood to the body. The function is usually measured by the eje tion fraction which normally should be higher than 55. If this is diminished there can be many causes which should be diagnosed by your cardiologist.

I'm not sure in what context those terms were in your letter.

I received a belated letter from Gloucester Royal Hospital written by EP Dr R Bond.

It states that my LV function is normal meaning the Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction is normal. LV is of normal size and no cardiac iron loading. Ejection Fraction is the amount of blood pumped on each contraction in percentage. I believe below 40% is a bit of a worry.

This was the result of my MRI scan done 5 months ago that I eventually got now.
