I have been on Eloquis 2X now. Once from ablation and now from AF stroke. About a month or so after I started having skin issues from contusions. What happens is I get a blister or my skin peels from an abrasion like a broken blister. It doesn’t bleed but weeps clear liquid for 2-3 days. No blood then starts to form a scab 4th or 5th day then heals by day 10-12. Does any one else have this issue???

Skin issues from Eloquis
Hi pearlbob! I'm new to Eliquis; only on it for about 2 1/2 weeks. But I seem to be experiencing some mild skin issues -- some peeling on the upper lip and, for an added bonus, a cold sore(!). (Haven't had a cold sore in more than 25 years, so I'm thinking it may be related to the Eliquis.) But it sounds like your reaction is more severe. Hope you feel better soon!
Taken off the Eliquis website:
"Possible serious side effects include bleeding or a reaction to ELIQUIS itself. A reaction to ELIQUIS can cause hives, rash, itching, and possibly trouble breathing. If you get this reaction, it will usually happen soon after you take a dose of ELIQUIS."
I've been on Eliquis for a few years and I have itching all the time; legs, torso, pretty well anywhere. It started early on but hasn't got much worse over time. It's always been mild but really annoying. I may ask doctor to change to another NOAC as getting fed up with it.
It may not be Eliquis of course but I'll never know without a change I guess.
