No. When you click it adds a like. If you click again it takes that like off so if you can't remember liking something you can see if you did by clicking again. If the number goes down then you had so need to click again to restore it.
If you click on 'like' it will 'like' the comment. If you then change your mind and decide you don't 'like' it after all, you just click on 'unlike' and you won't 'like' it anymore.
Something like that.
Paul
PS - I'll 'like' your post to test the theory. When you read my post 'like' my comment and I'll then I'll 'unlike' yours - after which you can 'unlike' mine
It's something to keep us amused during lockdown lolz
If you're not sure whether you've liked something or not, look at the little blue heart and if it's filled with blue you have.
When you click that you like something a member has written they will receive a message telling them that, which they will know is there by the little orange circle by the bell at the top of the page, it will also tell you there how may have responded in some way to the post you have made, that number disappears when you click on it and have read the notices there.
When you unlike a post (after liking it), no message is sent to the poster - they don't know that you've unliked it and the number of likes at the bottom of their post decreases by 1.
Re the dog and cat cartoon post by Caz. You just had to click inside the blue heart outline and it would become filled with blue as a reminder for you that you'd liked it.
