Hi, I have just joined this forum today, recently diagnosed with AF and in the process of establishing treatment (although that will be on hold for a while now!) I just wanted to ask what vulnerability class am I in and can someone like me volunteer? Thanks

Can you be an NHS volunteer if you have AF?
Hi DDYTCC.
I think there are certainly roles you can play. Chat support might be one such example. Link here

PS - welcome to the forum. Loads to learn here
Hello and welcome to the forum and the short answer, perhaps with qualifications is YES! As we understand it, AF, without any any additional conditions such as diabetes, heart failure and some others does not put you in the underlying health conditions bracket. That said, you need to advise the NHS of your condition and follow their advice. I believe there are a huge range of activities which volunteers can help and many which do not expose you to any additional risk. Personally, I think it’s a great idea and credit to you for considering it.
To help you obtain a better understanding of AF, how it can affect you, possibly treatment options etc etc., take a look at the Pinned Posts to the right of this page and click on the first one, “Useful links for Newbies and Oldies”. Best of luck......
Hi FlapJack
Thank you for the reply and the welcome, much appreciated and I will look into the treatment options and pinned posts, very kind of you cheers
I have AF (in remission) and I am on the list (I delivered four boxes of PPE from the county hospital to our local hospital yesterday).
As I was already registered (through a 4WD group set up for snow transport) I did not have to go through the current enrollment procedure.
