Can I ask, does anyone take barroca or one of the cheaper alternatives, I was wondering if this helped ectopic beats or AF due to the extremely high vitamin and mineral content, or has it had an adverse effect on anyone with AF as I have noticed that it does contain a sweetener (sodium saccharin) - thanks

I'd never heard of it before your post, so went away and Googled it and this is what I found:
Berocca Side Effects by Likelihood and Severity
An Increased Need To Urinate Often.
Anxious Feelings.
Difficulty Sleeping.
Heart Throbbing Or Pounding.
Irritation Of The Stomach Or Intestines.
Muscle Tremors.
Nervousness
As heart throbbing or pounding is there and I have AF, I know I would avoid it.
Magnesium is said to be the most effective thing to take and lots of members here say how it has helped reduce their AF attacks.
What made you think that these drinks/tablets might be the best for you? I avoid anything that contains artificial additives or sweeteners as they're a sure trigger for my AF.
Thanks for reply Jean, I do take mag taurate but often find that I catch colds and get run down often so was thinking of also taking some multi vitamins to see if they improved both my immune system and fatigue, a number of work colleagues swear by them but in honesty I was expecting that they would not be suitable for us afibbers but thought someone on here may have some first hand experience of them so asked the question, will probably just get standard multi vit tablets and keep away from the barroca based on these side effects - thanks again for your reply 👍
I take vitamin D3 liquid and although I know I shouldn't brag and tempt fate, I haven't had a cold for about 2 years. Used to get them quite severely every year before then and they'd drag on and on. I've also taken to drinking coconut water which was recommended by a member on here, as it boosts electrolytes and she felt it kept her AF at bay. I feel sure it has given me more energy, trouble is it's quite expensive to buy.
If you are feeling fatigued have you had your thyroid checked? I discovered mine was underactive, I had been putting my tiredness down to AF and thought everyone felt the same. Taking medication for that has given me my life back.
Thanks Jean, I will look into the vitamin D3, yes had thyroid checked and all ok, I find that usually I am not fatigued but I suffer very badly with ectopic beats (along with the occasional AF) I can have many good months back to back then an awful month or two when the ectopics are relentless, very forceful and often accompanied by fatigue and an insatiable thirst (even though I keep myself very well hydrated), I have examined every possible trigger but cant find any pattern, so I was looking for something to combat the fatigue and thought that supplements maybe the answer - thanks as always for your replies.
Interesting that you have been put on meds for under active thyroid when I've recently been taken off! My go suggested that the amount of thyroxine I had been on for about 20 odd years was in fact contributing to my AF episodes.
Now I am so tired 24/7 and feel exhausted with a short walk with the dog, walking upstairs, added to how breathless I get all the time......makes me wonder if go did the wrong thing. It was sheer exhaustion that first took me to see doc all those years ago and was prescribed thyroxine. Lordy, what a muddle eh?. I'm seeing my cardiologist tomorrow morning and aim to ask him. Life is tough enough without being drained of energy like this.
Take elderberry syrup ... also colostrum tablets ... Amazon ... you will NEVER get ill ... l promise! Take one colostrum tablet daily ... any mere suggestion of a sniffle, cold, or flu, take one teaspoon of elderberry ... sweet tho ... and it will be gone in a matter of hours. I haven’t been ill in years ... except for occasional afib of course. I have never heard of berocca but based upon Jean’s response, l would steer clear of it. I haven’t tried D3 liquid since my present protocol seems to work for me.
I take all the b vitamins and c with no harm that I know of. I don't understand why the supplement also has around 300 mg of sodium. For me and many others sodium is a strong trigger for afib.
