Tykosyn ( Dofetilde) I am 66 year old mail taking this drug for about two years now after three failed ablations. It seems to be working great no issues except weight gain. I am in sinus rhythm And I have only had about three a fib attacks where my heart would go up to 140 but would usually come down in a couple hours. Is there anybody else out there have insight on Tykosyn successes or failures? Any long-term irreversible side effects?

This drug is not available here in UK and Europe so you need some US members to come on stream.

I have been on Tikosyn for just about two years, very successfully until the last several months when I began to have frequent breakthrough afib events. Three weeks ago I had a pacemaker installed to deal with my low heart rate (have always had this). So far great. I feel much better, clear headed and so far, no afib. My EP says sometimes the Tikosyn can begin to fail if the heart rate goes too low, so we are hoping this solves it.

Until I went on Tikosyn I had uncontrollable Aflutter and afib. It can be a miracle drug. 🤞🤞
