The long wait

Hi to everyone and enjoy your day, I'm still waiting after 11 weeks for the result of my 24 hour monitor test, cardiologist secretary says that she has urgently requested them twice but I don't believe her especially as she told me that she had sent the last test result when she hadn't, i don't see any point in going for tests when they are too incompetent to process the results,my gp must thing that I'm not about to snuff it as my prescription is now every 2 months, my point is don't they understand how important these results are to people or do they just not care.

It's not good enough and not right that one has to get quite shirty before any thing gets done !!

I think that's disgraceful and wonder if they've lost your results! Make a complaint to your hospital's PALS group, they will soon find out what's going on.

hi there,

My last 24hr monitor test was in May last year...….still no "results" and twice now my gp has referred me back to cardiology and nothing happened. I received an appointment to see my cardiologist only a few days ago for the 3rd. February. So, that'll have taken almost 8 months and gp referrals so I totally know how you feel. It's that not knowing if something's going on with the AF especially if like me you are having severe symptoms.

I even phone the hospital on 3 occasions and the last time which was in November, I was told my file was on his (cardiologist) desk. I'm guessing other files just kept getting piled on top of mine then eh?? Or maybe I'm just not important enough :-(

stay well

Blue :-)
