Hi All, sorry I've not been on for ages, but I was trying to stay positive and not be preoccupied with my af, following my first ablation in June, '18. I still go into afib fairly regularly but the quality of life is generally way up from what it was back before the ablation, and thank you to everyone who supported me during that time.
I was recently told by someone that CoQ10 can be good for afib, and wondered if anyone on here had any experience with it?

Yes very definitely. I’ve been taking for about 10 years & is one of the essential supplements for anyone with heart conditions, especially if you take statins which deplete the body’s natural ability to produce CoQ10.
I notice decreased energy if I miss more than a few days. It’s not going to help prevent your AF though.
Since your alation was in June '18, about a year and a half ago, and since "I still go into afib fairly regularly," were you offered a second ablation even though your quality of life is way up?
I take 100 mg of CoQ10. I used to take 300mg before I started on blood "thinners".
I have read that it can go against thinners others say it doesn't affect things.
I asked Dr, Gupta and he said he doesn't know as "It is not used much in Britain".
Hi afafaf it's really diffficult to say if CoQ10 has produced good results on the individual person , how would you know unless you carried out a trial involving not taking it and made a comparison ? .
I have read a lot about the benefits of taking CoQ10 from reliable sources and although I am not a fan of supplements I take it daily and would like to think it is helping my misbehaving heart in some way .
