This morning Canberra became the first place to legalise cannabis in Australia so should solve a few problems for those wanting to try CBD

Interesting ..... well done Canberra ..... however what does the legislation say about quality of CBD oil/products and what does it advise on interaction with other drugs such as Warfarin (Coumadin). Does this mean you can get your family doctor to authorise it now ?

We have a CBD shop opened recently in a large town here in the far south west UK, but it seems to have the appearance of Vape shop and I certainly wonder about the quality of the products in a town which already has something of a drug problem.

I assume the Australian Government Theraputic Goods Administration have endorsed this. (Note to self .... check this out when I have 5 minutes).

I heard a Canberra based lawyer interviewed on morning radio saying they are not sure what will happen. Cannabis is still illegal under Australian Federal law. In all the States there is a State Police force as well as the Australian Federal Police. In Canberra and the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) they only have the Australian Federal Police. State Police are sworn to hold up State Laws. Federal police are sworn to hold up the national laws.

Just an observation. CBD products are, although allied to cannabis products very different. They usually have very low THC content ( the bit that gives you the "high") as a very small amount included makes the cannabidiol content more effective. No "high " involved.

As far as I'm aware it DOES have an anti coagulant effect though.

My interest comes from a friend whose dog's seizures have under veterinary care, have been controlled by it. Conventional meds affecting liver adversely.

I asked my cardiologist and he said there was very little evidence of CBD interaction with warfarin

That's interesting. I suspect there's little evidence at all yet as it has only recently become under medical surveillance. Lots of anecdotal evidence of good things it does though.
