After trying to decide whether to switch from warfarin to the noacs I read Bob's post saying he had his own coaguchek machine so I bought one and love to take my INR now I still have to get the occasional check with the INR nurse but freedom is mine

Great choice, it now puts you in control of your anticoagulation,
You are lucky as not all GPs support self testing.
Its not the choice of your GP its your choice but in fact mine thought it a good idea as I live out of town and testing was taking up too much time as I run holiday accommodation its not always easy to attend the INR clinic .
